The Old Manor House Hotel

5 Bristol Rd, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2BA, UK – 0117 986 3107

A real home from home experience. Great staff, food and welcome from Jane and her team. Nothing is too much trouble. I stay a lot and eat here lots. Always excellent. Except Molly

Jane, thank you for making my wedding day so special. The bedrooms were fantastic, the Christmas decorations in the Hotel made my day so wonderful. The food was outstanding, the staff so friendly and helpful, especially Tina! If I could give you more than 5 stars I would! And, that's not all the breakfast the next morning. Oh my word, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! You are brilliant and so is your hotel.

Swan Inn

Bath Rd, Swineford, Bristol BS30 6LN, UK – 0117 932 3101

Sunday lunch with booked table. Menu provided adequate choice. Food served in good time and portions were very satisfactory. Staff friendly and attentive. Value for money and would happily reivisit.

Good food, polite staff and a lovely setting. Well worth a visit.

The Lock Keeper

Keynsham Rd, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2DD, UK – 0117 986 2383

Lovely light conservatory. Went for a birthday family meal. The roast beef dinner was advertised as local quality meat but reminded me of the roast beef we had for school dinners. Almost boiled and tasteless. The vegetables were very sparse for the price and were practically raw and so were the roast potatoes. Shame as it did look lovely. The burgers and fish and chips and gammon all were perfect and really lovely meals which everyone enjoyed. Would go back but maybe try something other than a roast

I stumbled across this place by chance on a drive around outskirts of Bristol. What a great find!! Superb location, by a river and a canal marina. Outside space is fantastic with a large well kept beer garden with a raised decking area ajoining the pub. Access the building via the decking and you are in a glass roof conservatory which houses one of 2 well stocked bars. Staff are professional, friendly and quick.. On a sunny day the beer garden and deck fills up quick. Although I wasn't eating, the food seemed reasonably quick and gave off good aromas. Looked like the other side of the interior was a cosy bar that is the place to be from Oct-March. Well worth a visit if your in the area.

The Blue Bowl

178 High St, Bristol BS15 3HJ, UK – 0117 961 8836

Decent bottles of wine from £10 cant go wrong, some places in the same area the same bottle is £22. I have seen online of a Slush Rose wine, is the Blue Bowl going to have this for the summer? if so I cannot wait! great atmosphere on Fridays. The are some younger faces around however It appears to be the older generation here for a great night. Any news of a band or live entertainment? thank you Sally

Garden is really nice. We ate here yesterday, food great and prices even better. Lunch time deal with a drink! My friend had the Sunday dinner it look so good! We sat out the garden for 5 hours. Great place

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Manor Lodge

21 Station Rd, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2BH, UK – 0117 986 2191

The room was large and comfortable, as was the bed. Plenty of power points, which is needed in the technology age. Breakfast was the standard English breakfast with no complaints. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking at the front with enough spaces that it wasn't a hassle. The only thing is that the coffee could have been better

Lovely stay at the Manor Lodge. Comfortable room with all we need. Great location next to train station and only 10 mins from Bristol centre. The hotel even provided us with a lovely cooked vegan breakfast in the morning despite not calling ahead!

Blue Lodge Farm

Lodge Rd, Wick, Bristol BS30 5TX, UK – 0117 937 2254

It is actually a working farm. very interesting for the kids . the cottages are super clean and the breakfast is top quality. the owners are lovely people and they make you feel at home. It is a home away from home really!!!!! 5 stars for this place are not enough!

Warm and friendly staff. Lovely rooms in a quiet and peaceful area

The Crown Inn

63 Bristol Rd, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2WA, UK – 0117 914 9075

Quite small but clean and friendly. Stocked bar, snacks available, just very small bar area so despite the decent menu would have felt like I was being watched by the barkeeper as the bar was quiet at 7 on Saturday night.

My husband and I used The Crown Inn for our wedding reception of 46 people (16/9/2017). It was a squeeze but we all got in and the staff were welcoming and professional. We regularly eat and drink at The Crown, always fantastic food and never a bad pint! Even my dad commented at the wedding reception "this is proper food, not pub grub"! Some of our guests stayed the night at The Crown and we haven't received any negative comments - anyone reading this, I highly recommend you come and see for yourself. Thank you Dave and the team; Mr & Mrs R Scudamore :)

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Absolutely loved staying here for a friends sophisticated hen do. The accommodation was superb and the owners of the property could not do enough for us. We loved that the property can be used as one large party (like we did), or as three separate holiday lets. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Terri and David.

Knight's folly

Bitton, Bristol BS30 6HX, UK – 07855 474596

We arrived on the wettest Bank holiday weekend you could imagine and were greeted by the owners who couldn't of been more friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for our needs with shopping only a short drive towards Bristol and fantasic walking straight from the site. The rain didn't really stop whilst we were there and we have no idea how they kept the new toilet and shower block so clean with all the mud about but they were spotless. An amazing campsite which we will use again when in the area.

Great site, very handy for Bristol and Bath with bus stops right outside. Very helpful owners and new, clean toilet block. We will be returning soon.
